Danny & Tammy’s wedding in the floods!

It was an honour to be asked by my Uncle to photograph his wedding. And knowing my uncle I was pretty sure it was going to be an eventful day…. I wasn’t wrong!

Half way through the bridal preparations I heard on the grapevine that access to the venue was flooded after heavy rain. We managed to get to the venue  and had a lovely ceremony. As the rain eased we went outside to try and get some group shots done. This is when I planted the idea of a shot that might be a little different and a great way to remember the day. Of course anyone who knows Danny will know that he doesn’t need much encouragement!! Even before I’d finished the sentence I think his shoes and socks were off and he was picking Tammy up and heading towards the flood water!! I knew it would make a cool pic and I think it really does sum up the couple. I don’t think there could be a more fitting shot for them and I’m glad we captured it.

The following week the photo appeared in local paper Yorkshire Evening Post. After this it was picked up and featured by the Daily Mail online and The Sun online and on the Wednesday we made the pages of The Daily Star!!! A brilliant keepsake  and a great way to remember the day.

BIG congratulations on your marriage. Here’s a few images from the day…
